Quick update - issue 3 is GO! We're halfway there, laptops are back in action and after attending Brighton Zine fest last weekend we've come back with a lot of inspiration & drive to get the next issue out asap. Check facebook/twitter for updates. Also, Eagle Legs (the clubnight that Ru & I run in Brighton) have been asked to DJ at Girls! Girls! Girls! at the Old Blue Last in London on the 6th March! Two of our fave bands - Betty & The Werewolves and Peter Parker (ex Lung Leg) - will be playing live, so pop along if yr in the area (it's free!). Eagle Legs is also now on the SECOND Saturday of every month at The Penthouse in Brighton - join our facebook for details & upcoming events here. Whew! We've also applied for a stall at the London Zine Symposium, so fingers crossed!

The last few months have been pretty manic, involving house moving both in Cornwall and Brighton, illness, friends leaving, birthdays, finally finding full-time jobs and generally being Internet-less and m.i.a to the world. BUT we're getting the 'net back in our lives next week, and this will mean that the wheels will well and truly be back in motion for the third issue. Content is going pretty well with a lot of stuff being sent in (inc. a brilliant interview with The Thermals and a chat with Charlot Webster about her mixtape exchange), and so we'll be doing a call-out for illustrators next month - as always, drop us a line if you'd like to get involved.
We've also had our place at the Alternative Press Fair II confirmed, and are busy getting some new posters printed up for the special day. For more info on the Alt. Press Festival which is spanning a full 5 days, check out their website.

We've just started working on the third issue of Shebang, and need some writers to contribute. As always, the features are based around Art, Music and Travel sections, so if you have an idea for a feature, review or interview that would fit nicely into any of those categories, please get in touch! Even if you're not great with words, please forward this to any writers you know that might be interested in submitting.
We always recommend that anyone wanting to contribute has had a look at an issue of Shebang, just to get an idea of the feel, style and themes of the zine. To get a copy, visit our online shop (http://www.shebang-mag.co.
The best way to pitch an idea is over e-mail as I'm bad at keeping track of all facebook/myspace messages, so drop me a line at mail@shebang-mag.co.uk with a brief description of what you want to write about (or anything you've recently written that you want to submit) and I'll get back to you asap.
We'll be doing the call-out for illustrations once the content is confirmed, so keep checking back for the latest news x
